Biographie

Mit der ersten musikalischen Früherziehung des Vierjährigen an der Yamaha Music School stand schnell fest: Shinnosuke Inugai, 1982 im japanischen Hamamatsu geboren, ist eine außergewöhnliche Begabung. Dies bestätigte sich auch im weiteren Verlauf seiner Ausbildung in der Erarbeitung seines immensen Repertoires in den verschiedenen Stilrichtungen der klassischen Musik sowie im Jazz und in der Popmusik, eine wirklich seltene Verbindung von Talenten. Hinzu kommt eine besondere Gabe zur Improvisation, die in seinen Live-Konzerten zu besonderen Höhepunkten mit überaus heiteren, geradezu komödiantischen Abschlüssen zu führen vermag.

Sein Musikstudium begann Shinnosuke Inugai im Jahr 2000 an der Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. In seinen Prüfungen war er Jahrgangsbester und konzertierte daraufhin beim japanischen Kaiser im Imperial Palace. Ein vertiefendes Studium in Europa schloss sich an. Hier war besonders seine Ausbildung zum Konzertexamen mit Auszeichnung an der Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt bei Frau Professor Catherine Vickers wegweisend.

Shinnosuke Inugai ist Preisträger zahlreicher nationaler und internationaler Wettbewerbe, u.a. Tokyo Music Competition, Jaen International Piano Competition und Maj Lind Piano Competition in Helsinki. Mit seiner Interpretation des 1. Klavierkonzerts von Beethoven gewann er den 3. Preis des Telekom Beethoven Wettbewerbs in Bonn und den begehrten Publikumspreis. Dies trug ihm das Eröffnungskonzert des Beethovenfestivals 2014 ein.

Neben Soloabenden in Japan, Europa und in der arabischen Welt verzeichnet Shinnosuke Inugai auch zahlreiche Auftritte als Solist mit renommierten Orchestern. Sehr geschätzt ist er auch als überaus versierter und zuverlässiger Kammermusiker.

Shinnosuke Inugai unterrichtet Meisterklassen in Japan für den pianistischen Nachwuchs. Darüber hinaus ist es ihm eine Herzensangelegenheit, junge Menschen an die Quellen der klassischen Musik und andere Musikstücke heranzuführen.

Biographical Notes

As soon as he began his early musical training as a four-year-old at the Yamaha Music School, it quickly became clear: Shinnosuke Inugai, born in Hamamatsu, Japan, in 1982, possesses an extraordinary talent. This was confirmed during the further course of his education. In acquiring his enormous repetoire in the different styles of classical music as well as in jazz and pop music, his truly rare combination of talents became apparent. In addition, he has an exceptional gift for improvisation, which, in his live concerts, leads to special highlights during the performances’ quite light-hearted, almost comedic conclusions.

Inugai began his musical studies in 2000 at the Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo. As the top student of his class, he performed for the Japanese Emperor in the Imperial Palace. An advanced course of study in Europe followed with his training at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts with Catherine Vickers being of central importance, culminating in the concert exam with honors.

Inugai has been a prizewinner at numerous national and international competitions including the Tokyo Music Competition, Jaen International Piano Competition, and Maj Lind Competition in Helsinki. With his interpretation of Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto, he won Third Prize at the Telekom Beethoven Competition in Bonn as well as the coveted Audience Prize. His success at the competition entailed a performance at the opening concert of the Beethovenfest in 2014.

In addition to many piano recitals in Japan, Europe, and in the Arab world, Inugai also makes numerous appearances as a soloist with renowned orchestras. Furthermore, he is well regarded as a highly accomplished and dependable chamber music partner.

Shinnosuke Inugai teaches master classes in Japan for young pianists. In addition, he is committed to introducing young people to the origins of classical music and other musical styles.
